Tuition & Fees
Tuition Policies
Tuition fees are assessed by tuition units. A tuition unit (or half-unit) allows enrollment for a stated number of points in a semester. In the course of completing a program, every candidate is obligated to pay tuition units equal to the number of semesters normally required to complete the degree requirements, i.e., the M.Div. candidate must pay six tuition units, the M.A. candidate four, the S.T.M. candidate two and the Union Ph.D. candidate four doctoral tuition units. Students who transfer to Union and are granted advanced standing may be required to pay reduced tuition units.
Students who accumulate necessary tuition units before their academic requirements have been completed must register each semester for Extended Residence or Matriculation and Facilities, and pay the current enrollment fee to satisfy the remaining academic requirements to be completed.
