Emergency Notification Service


Union Theological Seminary, faculty and staff can register for the Campus Emergency Notification System. With everyone’s participation, this system strengthens emergency preparedness for our students, faculty and staff, whether you are on-campus or commuting.

The Emergency Notification System enables us to provide you with critical information when unexpected circumstances arise that pose a threat of imminent danger.

Participants have various options to select from, including text messaging, e-mail, phone, instant messaging, pager, and fax.

What is the Emergency Notification System?

The Emergency Notification System is a communications service that UTS provides for all students, faculty and staff. All students, faculty and staff can voluntarily register to receive alerts about threats of imminent danger or inclement weather closings. This service is used in conjunction with other communication channels including campus-wide e-mail. The Campus Connection service allows us to efficiently share critical information during emergency situations.

How do I sign up?

Please fill out the application page. Find the area that prompts you to (click “here” if you are a new user to sign-up). If you are having problems accessing the link please call (212)280-1460 or e-mail Don Joshua.

What if I don't have a cell phone?

This Emergency Notification System is primarily a text messaging system through cell phone services, including cell phone voice messaging, but there are other ways the system can notify you such as e-mail, fax, home phone, etc.

What information do I have to provide when I sign up?

In addition to your name, the system will require you to select your preference for notification, and setup login and password information for your personal account.

Will my personal contact information be kept private by the university and TFCCI (Campus Connection)?

Your information will be kept confidential and only used for the emergency notification process.

While attempting the registration process, the system would not allow me to register -or- I am not quite sure if I am filling the application out properly.” What should I do?

No fear, please stop by the office 9-5 between Monday & Friday. We are happy to help anyone register if they are unsuccessful at their attempts.
