Biography
Michael Maloney came to Union Theological Seminary in 2003 as Director of Facilities through the Grubb and Ellis Company and in May 2010 was named the Seminary's Deputy Vice President of Buildings and Grounds. After earning his Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from Hofstra University, Mr. Maloney began his career in commercial janitorial service and gradually moved to Property management for a variety of clients, including Chase Manhattan Bank world headquarters in Lower Manhattan. He is currently an active member of the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA), for which he sits on the committee of Codes and Regulations and Chairs the Transportation Committee. In 2004, Mr. Maloney achieved his Real Property Administrator designation (RPA), for completing the nationally recognized course of further education at the Building Owners and Managers Institute (BOMI). In 2005 and 2006, he was nominated by his colleagues for the BOMA Pinnacle Property Manager of the Year Award. Mr. Maloney is the staff representative on the newly formed Risk Management Committee, which will report to the Seminary's Board of Trustees.
